Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil – Bergerons 2024
A fleshy and aromatic red wine, with notes of red berries and spices.
Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil – Bergerons 2024
Nestled close to the Loire River, the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation is renowned for producing elegant, approachable and fruit-driven red wines, made exclusively from Cabernet Franc.
The soils are predominantly sandy and gravelly, providing excellent drainage and optimal grape ripening conditions. These terroirs give rise to wines that are generally softer and more approachable than those of Bourgueil, while retaining a true Loire Valley character.
The wines reveal fresh aromas of red berries, cherry and raspberry, sometimes accompanied by delicate floral notes. On the palate, they are harmonious, with fine and silky tannins. Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil is appreciated for its immediate charm while remaining true to the distinctive identity of Cabernet Franc.
